CRA Resolutions

The Congressional Review Act (CRA) Resolutions page tracks efforts in the 119th Congress to roll back federal regulations.

Under the CRA (5 U.S.C. § 801), Congress can overturn federal rules by passing a joint resolution of disapproval. If both chambers approve it and the President signs on (or Congress overrides a veto), the rule is scrapped, and the agency is barred from issuing something “substantially the same” without Congress’s approval.

This table rounds up all the CRA resolutions introduced—what rules are in the crosshairs, who’s sponsoring the effort, key dates, and where things stand in the legislative process.
